The identification of cognitive deficit is carried out through anamnesis (interview with the person and their family, where the personal, clinical and neuropsychological tests results are collected). It aims to assess the degree of cognitive deficit (from mild to severe) and the way it manifests itself in the person’s behavior and in their daily life activities.

The main functions evaluated to identify the cognitive deficit are orientation, memory, attention, logical thinking and reasoning, executive function, language, perception and coordination.
